ORIS joins the United Nations Global Compact

ORIS has taken a significant step towards demonstrating its commitment to sustainability by joining the United Nations Global Compact. This membership reinforces ORIS' dedication to responsible business practices and aligns the company's operations with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is the world's largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. Its aim is to encourage businesses to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies and practices. By joining the Global Compact, companies commit to aligning their strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. These principles are designed to protect and promote the well-being of people and the planet, while also fostering ethical business practices.

ORIS's Commitment to Sustainability

ORIS, the first construction materials knowledge platform for a smart use of resources and low impact infrastructure, puts sustainability at the heart of its solution. Utilizing cutting-edge digitization techniques such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science, ORIS leverages the power of digital twins to comprehensively evaluate the impact of linear infrastructure designs, including road designs.

The platform seamlessly calculates various parameters and data, including material properties, geolocation, anticipated traffic, and weather conditions, to enhance construction efficiency with a sustainable approach. This data-driven analysis empowers users to make informed decisions regarding the consumption of construction materials. By providing intuitive decision dashboards and a holistic perspective on project impacts, ORIS paves the way for the development of circular, low-carbon, resource-optimized, secure, resilient, and competitive infrastructure solutions.

ORIS has recently signed with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) a Cooperation Project Agreement to develop a unique innovative program for rural roads. Through this collaboration, both entities aim at developing sustainable and inclusive secondary road networks in developing economies.

ORIS's decision to join the UNGC reflects its dedication to upholding human rights, promoting fair labor practices, protecting the environment, and combating corruption, which are UN Global Compact's principles. By joining the UN Global Compact, ORIS contributes to the collective effort of achieving the SDGs and creating a sustainable future.
